As an official Olympic sponsor, Medochemie had a powerful role to play: supporting athletes who represent Cyprus on the world’s biggest stage.
But Olympic sponsorship comes with a familiar challenge. During major sporting moments, communication becomes saturated with similar messages of pride and encouragement, making it difficult for brands to stand out with something truly meaningful.
Medochemie needed to move beyond a standard sponsorship announcement and deliver a campaign that felt emotionally powerful, one that celebrated the athletes it supports while connecting the Olympic spirit to everyone.

The Idea
The Olympic flame is more than a global symbol. It represents something deeply personal: ambition, discipline, and the strength to keep going.
So instead of focusing on the sponsorship itself, Innovation Leo Burnett built the campaign around a human truth:
Medochemie supports the flame within you.
By heroing two Cypriot Olympic athletes supported by the brand, Kalia Antoniou and Nikolaos Antoniou, the campaign positioned Medochemie as a supporter of the inner drive that fuels excellence, both in sport and in everyday life.
The Execution
Produced in collaboration with JUNO12, the campaign centred around a cinematic hero film that captured both athletes in their most authentic environment: the water.
The video followed the swimmers in parallel, combining powerful underwater shots, close-up body detail, and intense movement to highlight the discipline behind high performance.
To bring the central message to life visually, the Olympic flame was illustrated in their eyes—symbolising that the flame is not something you admire from a distance, but something you carry within you.
The film was supported by a YouTube campaign rollout, while print executions in magazines reinforced the message through strong visual storytelling and premium presence.
The Results
The campaign delivered high-quality attention and strong audience retention:
- 44,000 YouTube views
- 90% completion rate
The exceptionally high completion rate reflected the emotional strength of the storytelling, proving that the campaign didn’t just generate views, it earned attention.
